Mayor, business leaders cut ribbon at Riviera Health Resort

Coral Gables Mayor Jim Cason joined business and civic leaders to cut the ribbon at the new Riviera Health Resort, a $40-million facility that combines post-acute and rehabilitation services within luxury boutique-hotel environment.
Located at the corner of Yumuri Street and Sunset Drive, the five-story, 223-bed facility caters to guests who require short and long term care as they transition from the hospital to their home, with a particular emphasis on post-stroke and hip and knee replacement recovery.
Joining Mayor Cason at the May 17 ceremony and reception were Mark Trowbridge, president and CEO of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce; State Rep. Ana Rivas Logan; State Sen. Miguel Diaz de la Portilla; Richard Stacey, CEO of Riviera Health Resort; Dr. Ismael Roque-Velasco, chief administrative officer of the facility; and numerous guests.
